Jesca Hoop: Outside Of Eden Video Review

Signed to Memphis Industries you have Californian native Jessica “Jesca” Hoop. She’s an uber talented singer/ songwriter whose been in the industry for a good 12 years. Now I have nothing but praise for Jesca, 5th July 2019 saw the unveiling of her 5th studio album and this being Stonechild. Comprising of 11 tracks, this thrilling LP is an enchanting slice of perfection.

3rd July saw Hoop unveil another tantalising taster from this fantastic full length on YouTube. This being Outside Of Eden and this being a whimsical acoustic take which literally sent shivers down my spine. Anyhow this video was directed by Elia Petridis and produced by Fresh Carreras. The end result was something incredibly simplistic. These visuals saw Jesca accompanied by 12 year old Justis and those ethereal vocal tones were spellbinding.

These perfectly penned lyrics were so beautiful whist those vibrant vocals oozed a tenderness. Basically this majestic song was a right ear pleaser.

Anyhow here is what Petridis had to say regarding this single live take “We wanted to do something sweet, simple, and innocent for Outside Of Eden to help preserve the youthful wonderment that the song is trying to protect. Inspired by videos on The Blogoteque, and being a longtime fan of the music, it was a pleasure to capture the charm and sincerity of Jesca’s live shows in this lovely public space“.
