CZARINA: Silence & Surrender Single Review

on

Veronica Faye adopts the moniker CZARINA and she’s a sublime singer/ songwriter all the way from Brooklyn. She’s a talented individual who became a professional singer at the age of 14, a year later she started her very own rock compositions. Vero formed and led New York City-based progressive metal band, AIKOSTAR but took a hiatus way back in 2006 to focus on her burgeoning career in footwear design.

In 2012 Faye founded her very own design company/ footwear label IVY KIRZHNER. Her clientele featured the likes of Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Kesha, Lily Collins, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cassie, Jamie Chung, Tori Kelly and many more. Veronica’s line was stocked at specialty retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom Salon, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Intermix, Harvey Nichols London, Printemp Paris, and her very own pop-up concept boutique located in the West Village, New York City.

Earlier this year Faye made a decision to take a break from designing and re ignite the burning passion for music. This was the very moment Czarina was born, June this year saw the fruits of her labour come to light. Silence & Surrender is a dazzling debut which features on the upcoming LP Painted Holograms. Just listening to this tasty track renders me speechless, Czarina oozes plenty of potential and I for one cannot wait to hear what the future holds for her.

Anyways Silence & Surrender is a luscious piece of synth pop, the melody takes me back to the 80’s, there was a dreaminess to the lyrics and then you had Veronica’s enchanting vocals. Those tasty tones were sweetly smokey leaving me 100% enthralled in the process.

Silence & Surrender is available from iTunes
