The Nectars: Heaven Single Review

on

8th December 2017 saw The Nectars unveil dazzling debut Heaven. I reviewed this tantalising tune last month and I was instantly captivated. Oozing plenty of punk pop vibes this is one high octane roller coaster ride you would want to stay on. Those lyrics were so infectious and Jessica’s glitzy/ hazy vocal tones were a force to be reckoned with.

The Nectars come all the way from New York City and this talented quartet consist of Jon Paul (bass/vocals), Mike Montalbano (drums/vocals), Michael Baron (guitar/vocals) and lead vocalist Jessica Kenny.

Today (12/01) saw this impeccable four piece unveil the official music video for the energetic Heaven. Now here is what they had to say “When it came to the video for ‘Heaven’, we went with a DIY approach, low budget, and got it done in a couple of hours! The overall yellowish hue you see in the video felt like it went perfectly with the vibe of the song in general”.

The music video sees The Nectars perform this tremendous track within a live setting. It actually gives you a glimpse of what to expect if you do witness them perform in the flesh. From watching Heaven I could pick up on the electrifying energy and Kenny’s sumptuous tones left me in an utter trance. They actually had me picturing both No Doubt from the Tragic Kingdom era and Paramore from the Riot era.

This promising band have bundles of potential and I for one cannot wait till the day they visit the United Kingdom.

Debut album Sci Fi Television comes out 25th May 2018 and I for one cannot wait to have it on my iPhone.
