Natali Felicia: This Summer Is Cruel Single Review

on

Swedish singer Natali Felicia is an exciting talent who’s signed to AntiFragile Music. Felicia is no stranger to the music industry, way back in 2015 she found herself signed to Universal Music and released a trio of tantalising tunes on that label. These singles being Used To Be, Easy Ride and Ride, the latter proving a tearaway hit clocking up over 2.6 million streams on Spotify.

2017 saw Natali make her debut on the AntiFragile Music label. That year she released a trio of exquisite singles and these being Run Like The River, Clap Hands and Say It. If you love your Scandi pop then Natali Felicia is right up your street. The tunes she’s released have been sheer slices of perfection, each of which left me well and truly spellbound.

3rd January saw Felicia unveil an entrancing black and white music video for This Summer Is Cruel. This delectable tune was in fact the B side to Run Like The River. I’ve watched this masterpiece a number of times and it’s literally breathtaking. The whimsical melody sounded extremely epic whilst Natali’s spellbinding vocals were both smokey and crisp. Also you had dashes of sadness within those hypnotic lyrics. The whole performance had me picturing Lana Del Rey.

The wondrous music video is a vision of beauty. This Summer Is Cruel was directed by Joakin Carlsson and made by GOOD Company, the team behind Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ as well as videos by Kanye West and Rihanna.

This majestical song and prior singles Say It and Run Like The River will feature on the upcoming debut album.
