Leon Of Athens: Utopia Single Review

London-based Greek indie-pop experimentalist Leon Veremis (Leon Of Athens) has released his brand new single ‘Utopia’. The tantalising tune is the latest to be taken from his forthcoming album Xenos, produced by David Kosten (Bat For Lashes, Everything Everything), due out January 19th.

Earlier on in the year I fell in love with the likes of Xenos, Aeroplane and Fire Inside You, Utopia doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. This was an infectious cut aided by an upbeat/ pacey melody which had me tapping my toe, Leon’s blissful vocal tones and then you had the uplifting lyrics which put a smile on my face.

Utopia is available to purchase from iTunes

UPDATE: On 10th December Leon Of Athens unveiled a lyric video for Utopia and I found it to be incredibly hypnotising. The gorgeous upbeat music video captures visuals from when Leon’s sold out European tour.
Those tantalising lyrics were so catchy and the whole upbeat nature can easily have you tapping your toe. Music videos which splice together behind the scenes footage are so entrancing and it’s incredibly fun to guess the venue. Actually I see clips from when Leon Of Athens performed at London’s Union Chapel back in June.
