The Coffis Brothers & The Mountain Men: You Ain’t Got The Heart Single Review

on

All the way from Santa Cruz you have 5 piece band The Coffis Brothers & The Mountain Men. This quintet consist of singer-keyboardist Jamie Coffis, singer-guitarist Kellen Coffis, guitarist Kyle Poppen, drummer Henry Chadwick and bassist Aidan Collins.

This incredible independent group have actually been in the music industry for quite a while. You have to go back to 17th June 2011 when they released their debut album entitled The Coffis Brothers & The Mountain Men. This dazzling debut compromised of 10 tasty tunes which were drenched with plenty of blues folk rock goodness. Three years later they followed this record up with the sophomore Wrong Side Of The Road. After the release of the sophomore things went quiet. We then get to May 2017, this exquisite five piece unleash a brand new single and this being You Ain’t Got The Heart. Now I’ve heard this sumptuous single a number of times and if you love your rootsy Americana with a splash of rock then you’ll adore this track.

Anyways You Ain’t Got The Heart was a rock and roll jam aided by compelling lyrics and impeccable vocals which hit me like a full on force. From listening I was actually envisioning Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and AC/ DC (Highway To Hell).

Whilst being primarily rock and roll the official music video was fun fuelled. This short movie clip showed the band having a paintball battle with 5 kids which I found to be incredibly humorous.
