Sophia: Give Me Heart Single Review

Sophia is a talented 23 year old all the way from Bath, England. Last month saw Sophia unveil her debut single Give Me Heart via the indie label Orphan No More. I’ve had this on constant repeat and I can tell that Sophia is incredibly passionate about being in this industry.

Give Me Heart is packed with plenty of promise. For starters her songwriting skills are on another level and secondly those heavenly vocals oozed plenty of sweet folkish vibes. Those delectable lyrics were incredibly heartfelt resulting in something utterly enchanting. Basically it offered bundles of hope “So take my head/ And Give Me Heart”. Actually from listening to this sumptuous single left me completely transfixed. The sweetness of Sophia’s vocals reminded of Kate McGill.

Toby Mitchell directed the music video for Give Me Heart whilst Dominic Döring provided the cinematography which accompanied the track. Here is what Sophia had to say “This song is about leaning into the mystery, where what rings true in your heart surpasses the need to know it all from your head. I’ve learnt that this is where freedom lives”.

Give Me Heart can be purchased from iTunes

Things don’t stop there. She’s already toured the UK tour this year, recorded at the iconic Abbey Road studio and begun production on her debut EP. Based on this one song I eagerly anticipate that EP later this year.
