14th April saw Norwegian group Lovespeake release Novocaine via Toothfairy. This group is spearheaded by Norwegian topliner Alexander Pavelich, who spends most of his days in sessions across Europe and Asia writing for other artists – all the while saving the most unique pop gems for himself, released by Toothfairy. Plus the other 5 members are
Andrew Murray, Stian Aasen, Christian Balvig, Teodor Dysthe Lyngstad and Martin Kaasa.
Lovespeake have already been hotly tipped across the international blogosphere, hitting radio stations around the globe and scoring additions to some of Spotify’s most influential playlists in North America, the UK, Europe, Asia and Scandinavia. In their short life span, they’ve already garnered over one million streams online and were playlisted on Norway’s biggest radio station NRK P3 for 16 weeks straight. Also they’ve recently been selected as a Tidal Rising-artist. Their critically acclaimed debut album ‘DNA’, released via Norwegian label Toothfairy, got a stellar start in the US, topping CMJ’s college radio charts with a top five most added album.
Back to this impeccable single, Novocaine was a sun blushed song which also featured Max Frost. Everything about this tune is literally sheer perfection, those lyrics were extremely refreshing and then you had an upbeat/ funky melody. I know we have just reached Spring but this sumptuous song has Summer jam imprinted on it. Actually the hypnotic synth pop Novocaine uplifted my spirits.
