MIKLO: P.E.O.P.L.E. Single Review

Miklo are a 3 piece pop rock band who come all the way from Los Angeles. This trio comprises of Kyle Setter, Chris Garcia (guitar) and Pablo Garcia (drums). Three weeks ago they released the delectable Losing My Mind which was a blissful piece of electro pop. Now this tune left me utterly enthralled and it made me anticipate the upcoming Note To Self EP.

Christmas has literally come early as MIKLO have given us another taste of what to expect from this mini album. P.E.O.P.L.E. is the song in question and WOW this is a piece of perfection. MIKLO say that this “is an honest song that gets straight to the point and we didn’t want to waste time voicing that. The saying ‘people spending money they don’t have on things they don’t need to impress people they don’t know’ perfectly depicts what this song is about and we’re not about that”.

Anyhow the moment I heard P.E.O.P.L.E. I was left completely captivated. This number was delightful synth pop aided by sleek lyrics, spectacular vocals and thumping anthem like beats. The portion of this classy cut which stood out for me was the punchy chorus “You swear you going to stay/ Walk out the door/ You’re never going to change/ Why you lying more/ And every single day, like the day before/ Well you know what/ I’m done for People”. Miklo truly are connoisseurs when it comes to writing impeccable songs

Note To Self is set to be released 13th January 2017
